Information about the Recreation Department
The Recreation Department, headed by Recreation Director Colleen Dominick, provides organized recreational activities for all residents. Details of programs are published in the Park News and the schools distribute flyers at the appropriate times.
Summer Activities
South Park Township will hold the annual Summer Recreation Program starting June, 2011. Programs, activities, and fees include: a $40.00 fee and an extra $3.00 charge at Tennis and Golf. Registration for these programs will take place on Thursday, April 21st, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Municipal Board Room. Times and dates of specific activities will be available at registration.

Activity groups will be formed according to the grade the youth will be entering this coming school year. Registrants may choose as many activities as they wish for the individual fee providing they meet the grade requirements.
Special Events for all Residents
There are several popular annual events that all residents can enjoy including Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch, Community Day, Children’s Christmas Party, and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
A Note About Fees
Fees, when charged, sustain direct program costs. In many instances, volunteers provide assistance and leadership. Anyone interested in volunteering their services should contact Colleen Dominick - Recreation Director at (412) 831-7000.
